Seems almost surreal that is is just about finished huh Dave? How that OC line is kinda makes me worried but I am sure you got something figured out already. Also nice to see you found a good spot for you BOV and also looks like you got something figured out for crankcase venting and coolant overflow. Nice work Dave! Even if it is not ready for dyno day you still got some time before ABF. I would say wait and do it at ABF but blowing up before a good tuning in BFE Wenatchee would suck royally. Besides... I am sure you want to have it geting better than 12MPG right?

Congrats again Dave! Looking good!

Well I have to admit that I am glad that it is done. I have well over 400 hours into this build. I am a slow worker yes but at least I know that things were done right.

Personally I want the car done asap so that I can get it on the road before ABF and work out all the I am sure that there is going to be more than enough. As far as the engine goes I hope that it holds out for a year or two(6-10k miles) Lopie said that the compression was good when I went down there. You never know though when you are putting out this much hp though.

The OC line is ok. I got out of my garage just fine. My stock exhaust hit if anyone was driving with me so you get a feeling how tough it is to get into the garage.

We will see what kind of MPG I get. I will most likely turn down the boost for the trip over there so that I will basically be running N/A.

Thanks for the comments guys. Either way the car is going to be dyno'd before ABF. Gary brroks wants to do some tuning out at HP connection. His dyno reads really low but it will give you an idea of what it can hit.

Wow dave, you have actually been working on it. Looking really good. Thank you for not cutting any corners and going cheapo,. You finished product is awesome and the attention to detail is great. I noticed no hood. How is that project coming. You can have my pos hood to mod and cut up if that will help any. Hope the tune goes well for you. Let me know what kind of afr under what boost ranges you end up at. Just curious.

Good Luck

Yes there is a lot of attention to detail. I tend to be really **** and there are little things here and there that bother me. In time I will fix them if they get too annoying. First change is the gauge pod. I hate that thing. I will hopefully be getting a electronic boost controller here soon enough so when I start boosting in int 17-20 range I won't have the side effects of the manual unit. I will probably do this the same time that I do the WG spring. Just have to start looking for a good unit. I was thinking about the profec b. So many choices and just like turbo's people tend to be favoritist to "their" brand. Makes it really hard to get a straight answer out of people.

My hood is sitting at a buddies house right now. I have about 50% of it done. But I stopped that so that I could concentrate on the car. I figure that I can make it to ABF without a hood but not without a car. I don't have too much work left on it. Now it is just finding the time that works for me and my welder. There will be a fair amount of bodywork on it. Well at least for me since I am a novice.

I will let you know what AFR's. Better yet I will just pull up one of my datalogs and you can see for yourself. I think that I have that ability. And having the laptop adapter software really makes it easy to see. Might give you a better idea of the entire package...AFR's are important but from what I hear there are so many other variable that play a role as well. Hence why I am not taking on the tuning.

I still maintain that I must have done that late one night. There were many late nights that were spent on this project. Between work, school and all the other stuff that I have going on I didn't really have much time to work on the car. Not to mention that I averaged 3hrs of sleep a night the last two weeks straight. That is ok though, I will be done next year and making more money.

It was really wierd today, I actually have only done homework...
