probably looks close because the muffler is hanging lower because the rest of the exhaust isn't hung yet. Did you at least put some rubber pads between the fuel pump and the mounting studs? I am not sure exactly how loud those pumps are, but just in case it would be easy enough to put some slabs of rubber between the mounts. Maybe also consider making a shield for it to help protect it.
Congradulations on all the work. It is looking awesome!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...rest of the exhaust that is funny. You are looking at the entire exhaust buddy. We will see how she sounds. If my ears start to bleed I will but another muffler in there.
As far as the FP, Yes I did put rubber pieces between the pump and the body. I think that this pump is going to be loud. As for the cover there are a whole bunch of things that I would like to get done on this car, but right now we are going with the bare essentials needed to get it up and running.
I am just hoping that I can get it up and running by April 1st. I have a really crazy week ahead of me and I will probably not get anytime to work on the 7. Not to mention that I am waiting for mazdatrix to get back to me because I need the adapters for the OC before I can get my lines made.
I am going to try and get that driveshaft made this week as well. Ahhh...it is going to be a push.

you know ive thought about the whole short exhaust idea, and in the end I realy didnt like the idea of popping a flame and roasting my GAS TANK....
There are a couple things that you can do to offset this problem. Both are very easy. One make it short enough so that if that does happen then you will not hit it. And 2. Put a turn down on the end of it. This should reduce noise and also prevent flames shooting at the tank. My exhaust is probably not finished. I am sure that I am going to find out that it is too loud. I can always add though and that is what I plan on doing.
Also I think that I am going to try and use the stock rear-end. I don't think that I ever plan on putting slicks on it so I am sure that it will hold up. I do plan on dropping it and taking it to a shop and having the gears hardened. Pretty much build the most bad *** rear-end that I can get in stock format. I hate hate hate putting a Ford 8.8" in there.

Thanks guys. After speaking on the phone with you I went down to the parts store and could not find the one that you talked about. These terminals were a better fit though(not to mention that they were the same color of my center tooth). It worked out well and I am happy with the way that it came out. Thanks for hte advice.
Also, last night I managed to drop another 500. I purchased a driveshaft, oil cooler lines and a few other small things. The OC line were simple give them the dimensions and then in 10mins they make them. I had ordered the parts from Mazdatrix so I already had the AN adapters.
The driveshaft was kind of cool though. And for all you people wanting to do the mod you might want to consider this. I had 2 drivelines. One was the FD the other was the stock. The FD cannot be cut, it is not re-useable. So I had to wirk with the STOCK one. The cut off the top piece, shortened it, placed a new lower piece in and re-welded. The with a new u-joint and upper piece they put it back together. I too the measurement from tranny to rear-end flange(42") and just gave that to them.
I am going to pick up the shaft today if I can get the chance. Total cost was 294. ~170 in parts and the rest in labor and tax.
As I understand people take the TII driveshaft($100) and then get to modified(150) and then tax on top of that. You are looking at the same price. Not to mention that you have to wobble out the rear on the TII shaft. Mine fits no worries. I could have had it be about 250 if I would not have replace the upper piece. So it would have been cheaper.
I will post some pictures later.
I will try and make it out to the dyno day but I am just found out that I cannot get a belt that will work for my application. I have one more place to call and if they do not have the size then I will have to get an air pump elimination kit.
