Hey dave,, Just so you know a #10 an is actually 5/8". You take the number and put it over 16 just like a fraction. So with that being said, you may want to look at a surge tank, or welding a sump kit into the back and bottom of your tank. Juar wanted to dazzle you with my useless knowledge.

P.S.

Isn't that fuel pump a little small, i mean a 1000 hp, You might run lean.

Thanks for the information Chris. I actually did not know that. But it is good to know. I have decided to just leave the pick up stock. It is .4" and I am going to get a 8AN line which as you know is pretty close. The reason that I decided to do this was because the kit that JEG's provided me was 8AN on the inlet and 8AN on the outlet. Well screw it...I am putting 8AN line on the tank.

I will post some pictures of the pump and install later. Anyone else going to install a A1000?

Well I did a lot of work this weekend. Finshed running the boost lines, Mounted the fuel pump, ran most of the fuel lines, installed the interior, blah blah blah...mostly small little stuff.

Woundup said it best..."it is all the small little stuff"

Next week I am getting a ton of parts that should really make the car come together. It is going to be a fun week on the ol' pocket book next week.

Well here are a few pictures to tide you over. I am going to be picking up the aluminum parts this afternoon. Yes that is a wine bottle...gives you an idea how big the pump is.

I will try and post a few more pictures tonight if I get a chance.

Ok got a lot done yesterday. Here are a few pictures of the most interesting stuff.

The radiator is custom 17"x13", 3 row, best radiator core on the market.

Exhaust is 3" that goes to 3.5" sprint car silencer and then to a 3.5" magnaflow race muffler, and heat wrapped.

And then the engine bay, that is pretty much where it sets as of now. I still have a couple of small things to do, ie boost lines to run.

Today I am going to be installing the exhaust and doing a bunch of other small things. I will only have my beer for company though

Enjoy,

David

Doesn't that heat wrap suck to work with? I allways itch for a week after heat wrapping something. LOL! I'm right behind you! Hopefully I'll be done with my project next weekend! And your fuel pump is rediculasly huge!!! I think my Holley blue should support enough fuel for 8 psi. THen I'll have to upgrade.

Here is the list:

1. Finish hood

2. Wire up Fuel pump

3. Finish installing battery and tie down

4. Mount FPR

5. Run new radiator line

6. Get Oil Cooler lines made

7. Install Alternator belt

8. finish wiring boost gauge

9. Eliminate AST

10. Get driveline made

11. place rad overflow tank

12. Wire up Alternator

That is pretty much the list of stuff still to do.I also want to get a 90 degree AN fitting where the fuel pump is. It currently goes over the axle and I am not happy with it. I NEED to get it to Gary this week to ensure that I can get it done by April 1st. School next week is going to be a doozie though and I am not sure if I will have enough time. We will see.

I am also waiting for Mazdatrix to get back to me about the oil cooler fittings. We will see if they get here before next Friday.

Here are a few more pictures. Please take in mind that the exhaust is about 3.5"-4" from the gound. It just looks super close for some reason.

probably looks close because the muffler is hanging lower because the rest of the exhaust isn't hung yet. Did you at least put some rubber pads between the fuel pump and the mounting studs? I am not sure exactly how loud those pumps are, but just in case it would be easy enough to put some slabs of rubber between the mounts. Maybe also consider making a shield for it to help protect it.

Congradulations on all the work. It is looking awesome!
