well i just got a 86 rx-7 from a friend. he got rid of it because he was rebuilding the engine and once it was together he hooked up the battery backwards, and fried something now it dosent get any power what so ever. i dont know anything about rotory engines. im wondering if any one has any ideas on what might have blown or fried or what. but i want to get it running so i can start building it. he did a complete engine rebuild. if any one has any ideas on what might be wrong and what i need to do please email me at cameron.howlett@navy.mil thank you and hope to here from you.

do the usual: check for fuel, check for spark, etc. rotaries are nothing special in that way. Very unlikely he could have damaged the motor itself with the battery backwards

Cheers
