Welcome to nopistons! All of those sound pretty simple except for the rear end. If the axle bearings are bad they have to be cut out and the new ones pressed in. A friend of mine just had it done on his 85 Gsl and the dealership has to redo it because they didn't seat the bearings correctly lol

I imagine finding a whole rear would be easier?

It is as long as you find one with good bearings. The fb is 25 years old minimum so bearings lasting that long is spectacular, unfortunately a lot of dealerships (especially in the rural area I'm in) haven't worked on any rx7 much less a first gen so they don't have the experience to do it right unless they have a tech that's been with them for about 30 years lol. They charged my friend $700 to do the bearings. I'd have done them for him but I don't have a press that can apply the force necessary to seat them.

Welcome aboard!

For brakes/rotors; I purchased the cheapest available discs from www.rockauto.com and they have held up great over the years. They were like 15 bucks each.

For the droning noise, replace the fluid and drive it. It might last forever, even with the noise, just keep an eye out for another rear end from a GSL (don't want to lose your limited slip rear end in a swap).

One more really great site for performance parts is www.re-speed.com They recently moved to Canada, so shipping should be good for you.

And a good site for Nikki carb info is www.sterlingmetalworks.com
