The only reason I even mentioned the 9000 rpm redline was just to justify the difference between the FD and the near diesel like V8's redlines, that I've seen so many times. YES I KNOW, NOT ALL V8's REDLINE THAT LOW!! (Can't wait to see how many people reply on V8 redlines after this..... ) And again, I myself personally believe to my best ability that the camaro was an RS model. I never said, or refered my car to being some sort of "Cobra Killer", or "Vette Threat".

No, not off the top of my head, and I'm not going to pretend I do. I just know that they have nothing on a rotary's redline.

I'd rather have 350 footpounds of torque than a 9k rpm redline

well what does a high rev limit give you(other than a sweet *** sound )? Irather have all my power between 3k and 6.5k rpms cause you will alway be in the powerband and its not hard to get there. As long as the gearing is good, the low revving engine will be faster than the peaky engine on a track or drag strip...just my .02...cause i love rotaries and american v8s

Like, whoa.. My first real race in the (at the time, bone stock) FD was from a dead stop against an NHRA Edition Trans Am.. We were neck in neck through 4th, I'm not sure how it compared to the WS6, though.. Hang on, I'll ask.
Maybe the one's I've seen all have mods.. Hell, I can't tell the difference.. Maybe in MD there are just some fast V8's?

Now that I think about it again, I'm sure it was the altitude that caused the 8-bangers to suffer. But that's the cards they were dealt when they bought an n/a. In fact, the supercharged '04 Cobras give me a good run, but are still beatable..
