i had the same experience with a new limited edition T/A. he would not let it go and it really doesnt take much to convince me to lay the smack down. he was trying to impress to impress his girl and had the typical v-8 owners attitude so i blew his doors off. when he was almost out of site i slowed back down cause trust me when it comes to ticket's im in the same boat as you... then he's all mad that he got worked and speeds up for the usual losers pass and as soon as he passes me the cops got him so i slowly drove byand laughed.. it has to be one of the best feeling's you can get...

^ That pretty much summarizes the whole thing right there in a nut shell!! And that's not the only time, when such an experience has happened to me. You just have to be smart, and no where the cops sit and sometimes you luck out.

but you said the FD is bone stock and revs to 9k? pardon my inexperience with FD's, but whats the stock redline?
