Maybe he had 5.13 gears and was maxed out on the highway.
5.13. I've actually heard of people driving around with that on the street.

Anyone who says they dislike Mustangs/domestics has never driven one, drive something with some torque to it, and tell me you dislike it! :P On another note, the 2003 Mustang Cobra is 390hp/390 ft lbs of torque, ran the 1/4 mile in 12.9. Ill eat my shoe with my foot still in it when a 6 speed celica with exaust and intake beats that
I have to agree. There is something with appeal to the low end torque created by a V8, and that big throaty exhaust. My buddy just got a 2002 Firebird witha V8, six-speed tranny, Hurst shifter, decked out interior. Man, it's nice. That car pulls hard down low. It would be nice to be able to smoke my tire at only 1000 rpm...

But then again, it's even better when domestics pull out quick with thier low end torque and a 7 comes back at around 3 1/2 or 4000 rpm and smokes 'em. Either way, driving is excitement...in a sports car. Of coarse I'll take the handling and the quick nimbleness of an RX-7 any day.

No offense buy I seriously doupt that that was an 01 cobra. One of my best friends has one with only an H pipe on it and one of our other friends drive a 6spd celica and she has gotten her *** handed to her everytime they ran. And as for looking like a cobra trust me it isn't that hard to fake it. I know a guy who has a 96 GT which he made look exactly like a cobra just buy front and rear bumpers a couple emblems and a new intake manifold. But if you're beating supra's and 7's they must have the wrong mods on them. I know two brothers who have supra's they both have done different mods but one got extremely fast and the other one got slower. Sorry buy I seriously doupt that you took a cobra. And as for hating them I must agree with some of the others if you have ever felt the power that that engine holds you would retract that statement, especially when you hear that low grumble from the exhaust.
