Was on Rt 3 late the other night doing some testing when I came across a white mustang gt. He had some sort of body kit, the clear tailights, exhaust, etc. Sounded louder than stock. I caught up to him and cruised along side for a while, to check out the blonde cutie in the passenger seat. We were doing maybe 65-70 and I was in 4th. I gassed it a bit and surged ahead to see if he wanted to run. He got on it and I didn't even bother to downshift. Wound out 4th, and got into 5th. He was prolly 100 yards+ back. I braked hard cause I remembered I saw a cop hiding awhile up a ahead when I passed by before. The mustang caught up and he gave me thumbs up, and the cutie was smilling. He seamed cool so I returned the favor. Looked around, no cop so I dropped to 3rd, wound out, hard shift to 4th, hold till about 7k rpm and let off boom! flames out the back! Then I signaled and exited.

If thats his FD then its all good.

Just dont want to hear

" I was in my Civic DX and I ran up on this supercharged Cobra so I turned on my 500hp shot of NAWS and turned my exhaust pipe LED's on and smoked that cobra so bad he didnt even know what I was"

If thats your FD nice and congrats on the kill

Would you happen to know what year and engine?

On another note my GT is so sick it just barely nudged out a 1991 Integra LS completely stock. She will not rev past 4500 rpm's and she is bogging anything under 2500. Also her check engine light and amp lights are on. I am thinking starter solenoid or battery.

But either way nice kill sweet car.

LOL side note

2003 Ford Mustang Cobra's are coming out

You guys ready?

390hp

390ft lbs of torque

110 miles per hour in the 1/4 mile

0-60 sub 5 second

35,xxx

Not too bad

Hey silver got anymore pics of your car?

I am always a fan of an FD

My guess was it was a mildly modified 96-97 GT automatic. As they can only run high 14's at best with mild mods! Damn Ford didnt give those cars enough power to run with anything! A mildly modified Cobra would have been nipping at your bumper the whole time 96-02 so thats why I am thinking 4.6 auto. Up till 99 those cars are and I hate to say this. But JUNK! The 5 spds are a bit better and I have seen 99-up GT 5 spds running 13.8 and bone stock 02 Cobra convertible's running 13.2's.

With those dyno #'s and those track times you could walk a stock cobra 4.6. Though watchout for any supercharged 4.6 Cobra's. But stock yes you could take out a 02 down mustang lineup. In 03 I would mod your car a bit more so you can keep up with the Cobra's. But other than that nice ride man!

Hey phinsup my 2.3 has seen 7200 Rpm's. Got to love not having a rev limiter. Though my 5.0 has only seen 6100rpm's.

It's all good Phin I know I am still on an RX7 Forum and should expect some joking around and some ****! lol

lol at least I like RX7's and respect them!

Still got to fix the 5.0 I know it is something cheap and stupid and minor.

A mildly modded cobra wouldn't be close to my. My track times suck because I don't have much experience in drag racing and I have skinny 225/50/16's on the back. I'm going to try out some drag radials this spring so I should be able to get into the 11's easy. Other than that, I have a ton of top end power. I raced a Vette ZO6 at the track and he got a better launch. But towards the middle of the run I caught up and at the end I just pulled away. Vosko has the video somewhere.

a 99 Cobra with a mid level supercharger and mid level exhaust is capable of running 12 flat to high 11's. They had an article on one in MM&FF december issue. I consider this mild since they did not open up the motor and do any work to it. With your trap speeds an 03 Cobra will be about half a car length back on you. Completely stock! But still very nice car and looks like she is pretty quick!
