Well I had just finished installing my electric cooling fan aawww its nice not to sound like a box fan or a big truck. I am leaving pizza hut after trying to get some Pazone's. Well anyway I am sitting at the light and 3 cars back is a Mustang GT couldn't tell what year. But he revs. Yep 4.6 but mean sounding. Well I rev back. Light turns green I slowly pull out into the slow lane letting all of the traffic pass me. Here he comes he lines up beside me his passenger starts counting down. Then we both drop it. He started just walking me. So I thought why not try again and he wanted to also. So we line up at the next stop light and go on green. We both spin and I start sliding to the left off the line we are both running even hit 60mph he begins pulling again hit 70 he is now completely ahead of me (damn this sucks) Hit 80 he quits pulling as hard hit 90 and I pull back up on him some. he shuts down he beat me by a full car legnth. Damn he was fast for a 4.6 GT. Next stop light I was going to go straight but I dont I turn off into the turn lane were he is. he sit there and talk while he waits for the light. 4.10 gearing bullit intake throttle body BBK off road h pipe flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber mufflers Cold air intake. Yep now I know why I was beaten. I gave him the thumbs up on a nice ride. Still not sure why I started gaining in the top end. With his mods he was turning more power than I was. Trust me with that offroad exhaust I could tell he hadnt let off. His car was laying down but why??? At 90 I am pulling out of 3rd gear. With 4.10 gearing he is probably in the middle of 4th or so.

Oh well good race and it didnt really make me mad.... just made me want to mod more!

Havent dynoed her yet...

she is being ripped about some this week due to a blown valve cover gasket... she is smoking way too much now to keep her on the street.... cost of repair? 9.99 lol how much it cost for the gasket! I am hoping by the time I do a tuneup and remove the smog pump and bump the timing some to see about 220hp at the wheels....

That included the upper-lower intake plenum gasket? You should put a new one on. And make sure you clean out the EGR and the intake plenums.

Yep she is heavy....

we got her fixed...

Man she looked pretty good once we got her open!

No deposits no tell tail signs or nothing. Mechanic that did it at my work said she doesnt look like 75,xxx miles inside the motor. Said she looks a lot better than he would of thought. We got her all fixed and changed the oil. He said I wouldnt feel a difference. But I did oh man was it a difference. Also the car actually had too much oil in it. So when we changed it we put the stock amount back in. It looks like my buddies SI is going DOWN!

Ive broken down a 5.0 from a mustang with over 185,000 regular oil changed miles on it, and there was no sludge in the lifter valley or in the heads whatsover. A friend of mine owns a limo company, he retired one of his older town cars, a 89, that at the time had over 600,000 miles on it, original transmission, timing chain, never even had a valve cover off it, that was 7 years ago, and he still uses it for personal use to this day. Ford should have never stopped using that motor.
