5.0s run high 14's stock when driven well as twinstangs would have been around to tell you awhile ago. lightly modded they are in the low 14's. technically it would take a t2 or fd to beat one. as far as i know t2's close to stock are running 15.0 or high 14's. assuming equal drivers any na 7 would have a had time winning

Not to put you down but did you ever see his slips? My good friend has a 89 manual 5.0 Alot more then lightly modded and he stll runs high 14's. Maybe because he races on street tires, but he goes to the track every weekend and his times are all in the high 14's. I have been in my share of 5.0's and I would bet money on any turbo 7.

He raced it against various cars at a race in Bristol, TN. It had the fastest slalom times and the fastest touring times. ET's in the qaurter weren't the quickest, but very close. All this through simple, cheap bolt-ons. BTW, provided that I could build my 7 to hang with his 5.0, I would have to spend about triple the money.
