I was just thinking how are 5.0's matched up to second gen turbo II's,,,,i always knew they where fast but crazy heavy and nothen to great,,,thats why i went with a 7 plus im not a big fan of domestic and deff not a fan of ford,,,you know how ford racing goes home,,on a flatbed cause they blew their engine out,,anywayz if i went up against a 5.0 with my 1987 tII raceing beat 3" exhaust j-spec turbo intake on a rebuilt 13b how do u think i would hold up,,,lets say the 5.0 had some mods nothen special,,dont they have like 220 hp stock,,

5.0s are great cheap drag cars. They're only about 2700lbs and have loads of torque. I think stock they have about the same 1/4mi as a TII, but they're cheaper and easier to modify. Now, if you're talking about racing one on a road with any turns, you should be able to kill it, unless they've swapped out the entire rear suspension, they really are only good in a straight line. So yeah, its a hick car and I wouldn't want to be driving one, but they can be damn fast hick cars.

so n/a 7 vs 5.0 would get killed,,,but a turbo 7 would be a better race,,,im think a 5.0 would get all over me in first cause of the torque(i hate torque),,,but once we past first im thinken turbo kicken ill blow by him waven,,,raced a turbo mx-6 which have lots of torque,,he got acouple of inches on me in first then i handed his *** over to him hardcore,,,wadda u guys think should i race a 5.0 throw down acouple of hundred

the mustangs around here are scared to race me
And you would be lucky if a stock TII can beat a stock 89 GT.
