it seems like alot of the locals here fear the rx-7. I think most of them assume it's turbocharged, and alot of them don't understand the rotary... most the american public fears what they don't understand.

Well looks like rx7 guys say ill win :bigok: and mustang guys say id be lucky if i did, ,,i highly doubt the 5.0 is supercharged,,and im running a turbo FC with little mods im prob running 210-220hp,,,lol a 3rd gen would kill any stang thats funny,, i hate mustangs i hatem i hatem i hatem i hate the way they look i hate the way they sound and i hate how the people who drive them think theyre the fastest thing out there,,,and a riced out stang has got to be the worst thing anybody could EVER do in the world, :rice: ,i doubt the race is going down but im thinken of starting a quest to destroy every mustang i see,,,man i had a bad day i really dont like stangs pure hick,,,If I offended any mustang drives,,well you should be offended look at what your driven man,,,people gotta look at that and hear that :rant:

 

Ive messed with a couple stangs. In my NA i killed a modded 5.0 on the local twistie back roads but everytime we hit a straight he would pull hard We stoped and started talkin he said he ran 13s with the bottle but he had a blown tranny I believed him cause my NA is slow as **** cause my tranny and clutch are going. When I first bought my T2 the first thing I wanted to race was a 5.0 I raced a newer bodystyle mustang with a 5.0 engine and walked all over the poor kid btthen i raced his gf 5.0 late 80s i think and won by like half a car Pretty good for a T2 with 130,000 miles on it I think

I can tell you 1'st hand any turbo RX-7 would smash a 5.0 I have a 93 r1 and it eats em for lunch. One of my friends has a 5.0 1985 he took it up to the local track pulled a 14.1 for his fastest time. He has all the basic mods cold air, 3 inch dual exhaust, and all the small easy cheap stuff. It's a convertable so that add's a lot of weight but any turbo RX would crush em.

 

That is BS I know a kid who owns one, well its a 90 auto with a huge K&N, I raced him 10x in one day at the same place , same time etc. My 88 n/a with no cats, mufflers, intake, pulleys, no a/c no p/s, lightened beat the living **** out of it every time, 4car lengths by 60 and 2 car lengths by 80. Now if there is a huge difference in times between the 89 5speed or whatever, it still wouldn't be able to TOUCH a stock t2 any year. And his car is in perfect running condition. I have also killed several newer(96+) Gts, and no one can give the excuse of "driver skillz" when they are auto cars.
