I need to upgrade the alarm system in my FD. I've seen those alarms that have a pager on the remote and page you if the alarm goes off. What is the best one to get? I have way to much money invested in my fd for some dumb f%@k to break in and steal it. Any suggestions?

i think clifford has the pager. i think it is good for like a mile or two away from your car. my friend had it and it was pretty good just that he had the motion sensor inside the car turned up to a really high sensitivity so that if you put anything close to the windows it would go off

er... theres no xmitter for any alarm that works over a mile away unless its clear space.

You'd have to have an outboard xmitter, and that would be some serious power.

I have an Alpine alarm that they dont make anymore, and that pages. You can get that Clifford AG4, which has a pager.. or you can just get the immobilizer from armored solutions :smirk: well, i guess until you have to clean out the burnt people from your car anyways

I think theres some other one called the Aladdin or something?

the AG4 though is real nice, has that radio xmit remote fuel pump cutoff. cant drive far if the fuel pump dont work, man... although I guess you could just buy a datalogit and make your own connection switch into the box and make it change the rev limiter to like 500 or something lol

I have always been partial to the Alpine alarms, Clifford makes a great system as well as Python, although I am not sure the Python has paging system, I am fairly sure they do.

dei viper790xv or in all honesty (don't make fun of this, it is actually better than the viper) audiovox avp 995x? (not exactly sure the model number off the top of my head. i do and sell mobile electronics at circuit city and the audiovox has a lot of grreat features. the best alrm in the buisness is made by clifford and dei is starting to milk more and more of the technology.
