When my brother's Ipod is hooked up with 3,000 songs of music I obviously like... it's like having satellite radio when we set the Ipod for Random selection... *shrug*

Or 1 or 2 Mp3 Cd's (same difference)...as Rob said.

well I finally hooked up my Sirius radio. So far I'm not that impressed after two months.

1) I hate talk radio, so that takes away what seems like most of the stations.

2) They seem to waste a lot of channels on music that I will never listen to; Latin/International, Classical, 'Standards', Christian, Country and a lot of very old music.

They really seem to be targetting a much older crowd in my opinion, and I doubt my parents or many of their peers are buying these things and paying $15 a month for them.

On the other hand I do like a few of the stations, Boombox plays some pretty cool mixes and mashups, Enter Sandman and Tricky sound pretty cool together. I'm liking the rock remixes as dance music. You do hear some songs pretty often though.

Since I spend an awful lot of time in my car I'll probably keep it.

Classic Vinyl is my favorite channel. I dunno, I'm getting so many mp3's on my zen i think i could live without sattelite radio to be perfectly honest.

I might get a Stiletto 100 and use it as a head unit in my car when I get it running. Combining MP3 player and satellite seems like a good idea, especially when it can record off the satellite and be a portable player.

I just got a year of sirius with my new Jeep.....

all those stations and the radio still sucks, it also cuts out when you drive under overpasses and even trees.

I will not re-new the subscription when I have to pay for it, the stock radio plays MP3s and its a in-dash 6 disk, thats plenty of music for me.

i do wish they would axe the ******* dj's altogether, i mean seriously i dont want to pay to hear some idiot talk about the time he saw robert plant at the garden in 77. just play some music dude.

That is why i like my mp3 player, i've got over 20 gigs of music and i've got anything to fit my mood, which is the theory behind sirius.

I have become a Fox talk channel Junkie.. I listen to 168 quite a bit, sometime for laughs I tune into Air America 167, where it doesnt matter which host is on, everything is a right wing conspiracy to either jail ,rob or dupe the average american citiizen into something, no wonder that station filed for bankruptcy...

I like the metal channel, but I find that even themed channels tend to play a few select bands over and over even if its not within the theme, I think Red hot Chili pepper, smashing pumpkings and Dave mathews, are the only bands the other stations play..

The comedy channels arent bad, great for easing road rage..

Satellite radio is just further proof of the old saying that "a fool and his money are soon parted." I find that the voices in my head are all the entertainment that I need.
