Cable rocks, that's what I have now. DSL is ok, but they want you to sign on for a year in most places and Qwest can blow me because they only offer deals through MSN.



Plus I don't have to have a home phone with cable, we just use our cells for everything. Cheaper and better.

 

I wouldnt even consider DSL if you have cable as a option. Everyone I know who got DSL, hated it and had to fight to get out of thier contracts. Cable is so much faster, I love it, its like what you want to look up on the net is built into your computer, downloading is super fast, you can download a song in under a minute, never mind files..

I had cable in my old house, and it was great. My brother wanted DSL, and it's not as good.

 

I have cable and it is the best investment you can make. A friend has DSL and nothing but problems. The only problem is you can't get a static IP with either anymore so I can't host my web page. Anyone know of a good host??

i have Bellsouth DSL (that complete choice bullshit for $40.00 a month), and i am REALLY happy with the service and ****. I have it routed to 2 computers, and its flawless. Tweaked it, and im pimpin about 1.5mbps/sec. The only thing i dont like it the cap on the Upload, but i dont upload **** do i dont care.



My dads friend had Adelphia Cable and he didnt like it. Everyone i know down here in miami has DSL, and i havent heard much complaints. and areas that have alot of people using Cable slows down that connection, so DSL is usually better in areas where its used alot.

 

I also have the cable routered to my 2 computers, no change in speed whatsoever when both are running.
