show me where to get a new M3 for $45000
E46 with sport package compared to a vette? Not in the same league

rx-8- not in the ballpark, I would rather get a G35 coupe if were going for
the $35,000 mark
as for the rest of the list- I said NEW car.
Lotus? The Elise? Sure it might be fun, but where are they? The car looks like
a golf cart anyhow.
Its pointless argueing this, anytime the subject of a new car comes up
everyone says "buy a FD, buy a Tii and mod it"
Im sorry but if they were such great and desireable cars Mazda would
still be selling them today, but back when they were new people chose to buy
other cars- such is the demise of the sports car.

12.6 @ 108.xx in the 1/4mi = AWD vehicle times. i do not think that 108 is bad for it, you have to know that an awd car kinda falls on its face after 95 or so, and is praying that it still has enough to finish ahead.....
i would take a z06 over a WRX, unless i needed a 'functional' DD, then i would get an STi....

i would probably buy an m3 with that money...now somebody said that they dont like the engine...the ls6 (which is in the zO6) is an incredible engine..the ls1 is not too far behind...they can hold decent amounts of numbers on the stock block..some may argue this but not many, the sound of a v8 reving like crazy is music too the ears...when my dad first got his vette i thought it was cool but then it just turned into another car i see all the time..except my dads might be a little faster than the ones i always see...the point is if vetes weren't so common they would be just as cool as lambos and ferrari and lotus' to some...now dont get me wrong i like vettes but they are not my number 1 choice...also to me having a car that is rare is the best part..especially when people ask you what kind of car is that and you tell them and they look at you all wierd because they have never seen one before...

now that i have had a chance to see the video, I think that the WWWRX may have dooped him in to racing the second time.....it appears that they made it close in the first race so that they might be able to squeeZe a lil more $ out of captain Z06...

Rob - I know you said NEW car but in all honesty I would not buy a new car. Its a waste of money. You buy a 2 or 3 year old car and you still get a warranty and its 1/2 the price in some cases. Porsche's tend to hold value though so it will be less but not like other cars depreciation.
BTW - an M-3 is right on par w/ a Corvette as far as pricing goes.
But I wouldn't want to drop 45K on either of them. If it was a car to cure my midlife crises it would definatly be a used Porsche or Ferrari.
If I had 45K to spend I would hope I could afford to maintian a higher end car.
