I wouldn't put a piston engine in a TII becaue they are rare. FDs are more common around here than TIIs. My FC was an NA base model that was one owner away from its grave.

I also wouldn't pay well for a TII, especially not a 90, so you won't sell it to me, guaranteed.

However, I might be game for an FD shell . . A friend of mine has an LS1-FD and it is a monster. It is very fast on the autocross course, so the whole "handling" issue is nonexistent. It is just as fast as another friend's modded "traditional" FD, which gets top time at many events.

But yeah, the rotary sound is better than the piston sound, and I would go for a 3 rotor if it wasn't so heavy. LS1 swaps are lighter.

the fact is the vett didn't pay so hes a punk plain and simple..thats why you always get someone else to hold the cash. someone you both agree on. and a neutral spotter at the finish...races like that you never use your friends that way neither side can say a word.

Are you telling me to go to an Autocross some day???

I used to be classed with vettes in my TII at first and I used to be neck and neck with them. Z-06's too in A - Street Prepared. They were pretty worked Vettes. My tII at the time had 225 RWHP and no boost control. Due to the Rules in ASP that does not allow one.

So then I added a boost controller and cheated in the class with 242 RWHP. I was creaming them.

Then I was ratted out and was bumped into BP where I had 1 competitor in my class for 1 Autocross over the entirel season.

I missed beating up the Vettes and Vipers.

I was them bumped up the ASP and I got to beat up the Factory 5 Cobras well, except for 1 dude that was amazingly fast. He was running 12" wide slicks and had gobs of power I think he had a big block and weighed in at 2200 lbs.

So yeah I still dont like Vettes. Tell your friend to loose that tank of a Cobra and get an FD.
Can't have a boost controller? How does that make any sense? So is putting in a stiffer wg spring against rules too?

12.6 @ 108.xx in the 1/4mi = AWD vehicle times. i do not think that 108 is bad for it, you have to know that an awd car kinda falls on its face after 95 or so, and is praying that it still has enough to finish ahead.....

i would take a z06 over a WRX, unless i needed a 'functional' DD, then i would get an STi....
how do you figure it falls flat on its face? a car with that much work snhouldn't fall on its face...with a t66 it should run faster than a 12.6...specially with awd. What if you have a lambo with awd...does that fall flat on its face top end too?

Less TII's imported than FD's

I'll have to look that up.

All I'm saying is that I see about 4 FDs before I see one TII around here. The age difference or Fast / Furious factor might keep the FDs out there in greater numbers; I couldn't say.

Relax Jim. I'm a rotorhead like the rest of you. I've built and modded an FC, rebuilt the engine, designed and did my own street port, and the car is a total success for an FC NA. It's not like you guys need to hate the aluminum block V8s because you hate rednecks. I like the idea of having a lighter and less expensive alternative to the 20B. The musclecar sound makes the one V8 FD I have seen look very strange when taking off, but I could get used to it.

Go ahead and hate me. It always comes to this. I just won't mention v8s around you guys from now on.
