The Viper's New Name

[quote name='toplessFC3Sman' date='Mar 14 2005, 12:07 AM']LET IT DIE ALREADY (and to help the cause, part of the reason the first gen vipers sounded liek **** was cause they had a seperate exhaust for each engine bank, they werent connected at all, so all you were really hearing was two independant 5 cyls instead of a v10... sorta like having two volvos parked next to each other)

have you ever heard a muscle car? those v8s are almost all true dual exhuast and they sound good. not at all like an i4

yea, my neighbor has all sorts that he works on... he's had olds 442's, a really nice 69 charger that he owns, a chevelle SS, an older el camino (ok, not exactly a muscle car, but hey), and they all sound awesome. I thought the muscle cars had a cross-pipe to connect the two sides? Plus, their cyls still all fire at different times, not like what was being described with two cyls at once for the viper, so you get the continuous 8 cyl noise in a row, not just 5 cyls doubled up
