Somebody needs to find a vast reserve of oil on Cuba. We'd annex it tomorrow.

They have, castro has already sold a lot of the rights to Norway and China, the US for the first time in 40 years has talked about removing sanctions in order to make offers on the oil rights.

75,000 barrels a day are already coming out of cuba with more to come.

No kidding? Somebody's sleeping on the job. With Kruschev and the USSR out of the picture, we can own Cuba! Why fight a war halfway around the world in Iraq? Logistically speaking, it's like perfect. Think of the fuel we could save running bombing missions over Havana instead of Baghdad.

This is Risk we're playing right?

u raise a good point, cuba has everything that iraq had, oil, oppressive leader for us to target our aggression upon. the logistics are simple, the initial investment to potential profit ratio is far better then that of iraq. seems win win to me by our current gov't invasion guidelines. We know he had nukes (wmd's) at one point and we can easily "suspect" they still exist.

I've been toying with the idea of making my own bio-diesel and buying some old POS diesel car. Not sure if the time spent converting grease to bio-diesel is worth it, but at 4+ a gallon for fuel, it might be.
