Any excuse they can, cause we all know the prices never go completely back down.

I would like the damn oil companies to explain how they are making 200% profit margin & how that has NOTHING to do with the increased gas prices. Yea right a-hole oil companies.........ok there was my rant - I think I am done for now.

Dude yer just jealous because you cant think of any other industry in which you can sell less and make more... actually so am i. ******* joke, shortage my ass, i havent came accross one station out of gas.

And this bullshit with hybrids, our big save is supposed to be a hybrid which by the way still uses plenty of fuel, some of the hybrids arent even getting over 40mpg and they cost a small fortune.

93RX7R1 08-07-2006 07:30 PM

I had heard that our "wonderful goverment" was going to put a tax on the hybrids due to the fact that they weren't going to be getting as much at the gas pumps from them. I don't know how true that is, but its something to think about.

right now they are giving a tax credit for hybrids, keeping in mind that even the best hybrid the insight gets 60, most are sitting around 45 to 50. What really annoys the **** out of me is diesel, every other country diesel is significantly cheaper the gas, Costa Rica for example, it's like a buck a gallon compared to 3 for gas. Reason being is it requires less refinement. now they've got diesel up to more then regular unleaded. ******* nightmare. I cant really afford to drive my rx or my truck

I cant wait for the winter, I bet home heating oil will be $3 a gallon at least.

I think I will get a pellet stove and wear heavy sweatshirts.

I think I'll look into FREE ENERGY. I don't care what people think about the subject anymore.

phinsup 08-08-2006 01:19 AM

Yea i can commute in the sailboat, or maybe strap a sail on to my dinghy (that didnt come out right).

I got all excited a couple of days ago cause a place had diesel for $2.83 and i have two cans i need to fill for the boat, 10 gallons will prolly last a few months. I loaded up the cans the next day and went to the gas station, $2.96, 13 cents in less then 24 hours, awesome!

As far as heating oil, right now is our "winter" so to speak here in florida, what i mean is this is when we use the most energy, luckily FPL got something like a 20% increase to cover the additional expenses of fuels, which is odd since something like 80% of our power comes from nuke plants.

Oil prices are KILLING the economy, expecially retail sector.

Too bad the effort in autos is going to hybrids instead of no fuel options like electric cars.

Confucius say: Man with sail strapped to dinghy must beware of stiff breeze.
