Just for clarification, do Ford trucks have Cummins engines? I thought Dodge used Cummins for their trucks...

Fors use POWERJOKES, Blocks are mage by international



Dodge uses Cummins, Ford has NO (zip/zilch/nada) stakes in Cummins. Although the Cummins 5.9L used to be an optional engine in the F550

anybody know what that engine weighs in at? I'm suprised no one has put one in a much lighter platform.

From what little I know about the Cummins in the Dodges, that engine is one heavy bitch.

about 1025lbs for the longblock.



There has been a 5.9L Cummins in a dakota, radiator was mounted in the truck bed.



The 4 cyl 4BT has been mounted in Powerwagons and international scouts for many years
