bmw ran the turbo diesel at the 25....

much was learned. the cars did well, lots of crazy looking germans running around, and car and driver are the biggest ******** on the planet. the 25 is a little weird because while the bmw's can show up and run with the leader at around a 2 minute pace, the leader (a 911 turbo) if needed can run 1.48's. the winning porsche finished nearly 30 laps ahead of the second place car.

they air freighted 18, 55 gallon drums of the special shell diesel that audi used at lemans. they also replaced at least one of the engines, if not both

actually, thats not a bad idea for next year. Buy a mercedes diesel and go racing. Not as many pit stops, and its a nice comfortable ride. with the good fuel economy, youd probably finish well.

nah bmw's got that cover everything warranty, so when the brakes wear out, i'll just take it to the dealership, and then drive back and finish the race
