Tips or tricks for speeding tickets?

Wow I just checked out how fast 34 mph is and thats 55 kmh so I can see why you have to go to court. Sorry dude.
One of my mates was caught doing 50kms over the limit, and here that means the following -
-Instant $1200+ fine
-Instant lose of licence (3-6 months)
-Impounded car for 28 days (when you collect it have to pay for storage fees and towing costs)
Edit: I forgot to mention that all this happens on the side of the road and you find your own way home from here. My mate asked the cop for a ride and the cop said 'Im going to central so if you want a ride in, your staying there for the night'. He refused the ride.
