I got my first offense for a speeding ticket 89 in a 55, $421 ticket. I'm 20 and i'm FREAKING OUT.



I have heard if you "donate to katrina $75" it goes OFF your record, sounds more like a hoax...



Others have told me it's my first offense, i may be able to tell the clerk BEFORE i go to the judge i want diversion and they CANNOT turn me down? then it doesn't go on my record...



others have told me if i try to show the judge that i learned my lesson he may make me pay the FULL ticket but not make it go on my record IF i don't get another for 6 months to a year (which is fine!)



I've read hoaxes on the internet about writing the ticket for barely over, blah blah but the DMV isn't that stupid.



So WHAT CAN I DO, i will do ANYTHING to NOT get this on my record, HOW can i show the judge that it FREAKED ME OUT and i LEARNED ME LESSON and NOT have it go on my record at ALL!?!?!?

Dude, it's not like your future dream job won't hire you because you have a traffic ticket. Get serious...just pay the ticket and take the pts. on your license, if it's anything like NY it expires after 2 years I think. Your insurance shouldn't even go up, because mine never has for traffic tickets. Yeah, it's a lot of $$$, but you were going 44 mph above the speed limit. Your "record" will be fine.

 

You were going 89 in the ZX2?



Easy fix, no judge in the world will believe that car was going that fast without shaking apart!

i was in midtown the other day, and a real cop , in those lil trucks things that look like the ones mazda used to make pulled up in front of me at an angle, i was like **** that i aint getting a ticket, so i backed up and pulled out and he was chasing me around midtwon around like 34th and **** and i broke out on him hahahh



Its a $150 ticket for double parking and im not gonna pay that cause i cant afford it. This is the first time i pulled that off on a real cop, i really dont care for traffic cops, i broke my girls side mirror on a traffic cops back last year in early october for giving me a $115 TICKET, i caught him a few blocks down, even though i paid the meter.

the sarcastic comments are not helping at all i'm facing a lot of insurance to go up and a $421 and all you can do is be an ***, if you were in this situation i would help if i could, not insult you, not be an ***, but help. I'm not a bad guy and i'm sick of this board "giving me crap" just because I own a FORD ******* ESCORT ZX2, i am NOT A BAD PERSON, i still know a bit about cars and I TRY to help people, if you can't take that, realize it and be nice to me for ONCE when I ACTUALLY NEED IT then SHOVE IT.
