no nothing is as good as US construction

and NOTHING beats the amazing construction of Florida!! I should take pics of this house on the canal around the corner, they gutted it, left only the walls, no roof nothing then i think one of the wall fell over, so it's been sitting there with say 3.5 walls standing.

im just not a fan of plazma tvs, the bottom really dropped on them, they are not THE thing to have anymore.

i have an LG 60" plasma here in Iraq (i'm serious) Picture quality in incredible on it, although i'm getting a lil bit of green and white "snow" on it lately but i think that is due to a bad S-video cable. The TV retails for around $16,000... it's nice, but not that god damned nice. I'd pay $5,000 max for it, and i doubt i'd get it then. When i get back to the US and build my house...i am DEFINATELY doing a projector and screen style set-up.

PS... i'm watching King Kong right now... sorry for this shitty pics but i haven't figured the new camera out yet. It doesn't capture the color quality very well in these pics. I did a side angle pic also so you can see how much side view you get from it.

A buddy of mine just bought a sub-$2k HDTV-res projector. It's HDMI-ready for whenever there's more availability of that kind of quality, and it has an amazing picture. Only 1k lumens, but 7000:1 contrast ratio. The best thing about it is the fact that you can plan the location around the rest of the room, instead of focusing the room around the display. Yes, replacement bulbs can be $300, but if you take care of it, that should be the only thing you ever need to replace.

Oh yeah, and you can easily display a 8'-10' screen and have it look AMAZING. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
