so why do people hang themselves? If I was gonna kill myself that wouldn't be my method of choice that's for damn sure!!!
I'd hate to NOT break my neck first, and have to choke myself to death!
Man, still sucks though!

HE had a ladder and some brand new rope. Not sure what time he did it, was thinking 2:30 Am because my girlfriend got up when she heard something and closed the door. I heard him at 10 open the gate with his ladder (Thinking back now I should have gone out there). A 7:30 I heard the wife scream and she had just cut him down. She just got home when I was going to work. He was a doctor in the OR and she was a nurse. They just sold their house so it wasn't about the $$$$.
They both have brand new cars (though no RX7's) and had just taken their son to California for his first term in college.
There's about 20 people of there now moving the wife out. She can't stay there... I don't blame her, but as soon as she is gone I'm getting out my chainsaw. I see the tree and am checking it for anything hanging. At night it is the worst.

Wow, that is so uncool. I would cut the tree down and burn it.
I was talking with a coroner one time and he mentioned a commonality on bodies that had been hanged. He said that most of the time he would find scratch marks around the neck where the people tried to get the noose loosened. He said as soon as the noose tightened up, people realize that they are going to die, and decide they don't want too but it is too late by then. Kind of a wierd conversation, hard to forget.

His wife was at work. I didn't hear anything other than the gate latch @ 10:00 PM of him putting the ladder up. Then my girlfriend heard something at 2:30 and she closed the door. If she looked out she probably would have seen him out there hanging. I didn't ask what the time of death was (I didn't want to be insensative). Then at 7:20 the wife came home and found him. She screamed and called 911. They said to cut him down... that's when I saw him laying on the ground.
So there was a ladder, still up. I think it snapped his neck, he could have stepped back up the ladder, it didn't fall.
He was 47 (maybe I said that already).
His son is over there now with about 20 people moving the stuff out. His son was in Cali at college (freshman). He flew home immediately.
