Well, does anything in your engine bay appear damaged? Is it just the bumper, or are the front fenders kinda crumpled too? Get under that front end, and see if anything is bent up.

Changing the front end is pretty easy. Like was said before you will need to hook a couple of extensions together but you don't need anything special. Check around a junkyards, I'm sure you could find something local in good shape for relatively cheap. Brand new S4 front ends only sell for like $99.99 out of Victoria British.
