my tuesday morning started off like any other... wake up at 5am, go to work at 6am... about 9am i get fired out of the blue, so there is my lack of income, i had been thinking of enlisting in the army for a while, and me and my wife had been talking about it, so after i left work i went to the recruiting office, talked to the dude for like 5-6 hours, enlisting as an MP, most likely at FT. LEWIS, after i leave the recuiting office i went to talk to my family, and tell them my plans, on my way there i get a call, one of my friends had just commited suiccide after just returning from a drug rehab program in texas, so i spend the next 4-5 hours and the ER with his family and other friends... got home somewhere after 9-10, didnt fall asleep until just after 1am, woke up a 5:30am to drive my wife to portland for a 5 hour treatment, leave here at 7am, get actaully in the hospital around noon, get done with the treatment around 5pm, drive home, and here i am... i have so much **** on my mind i cant even **** in a strait line!... anyways, i will be fine, i am dealing with it okay... i will also be selling my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

oh, this could probably get moved to the regular NW section, i was gonna post the car up for sale first, but then started just ranting and raving... but anywho, its in the NW, so whats it matter eh?

 

Sorry man. That really stinks. I think that they are required by law to actually give you warning and show previous acts of repremand. I don't know though I have never been fired.

 

washington state is a hire and fire at will state... unfortunatly theres nothing much you can do

i dont know about washington, but oregon is an "employment at will" state, basically, if they have reason to fire you, goodbye... plus working on a production line for a trailer manufacturer, they are a little more ********... i am doing alright, i do need to get rid of a bunch of things... my car, and some other ****, so someone buy my car!

 

I can tell you that you will regret selling the car. Pinch pennies and get a temp job until you can find a good solid job. When you get their bust *** from day one and they will love you.

Hope you are doing better nofx. I would hope that military would not have to be your option as being in the military is really hard on a family. I wish I knew of some job opportunities for you. All the advice I can give is to stay positive. I know you feel that everything is againast you right now, but trust me something good is bound to come your way!
