I'm still not sure yet if I should do it or not. I've had the FD for about 2 years and its been in the shop for 6 months (probably more.)

I stumbled upon the Porsche today on my way home from the library. Its really clean. The mileage is kinda high though (70,xxx).

What do you guys think?

if you think fd's are unreliable or expensive to fix you don't want a porsche

Various reasons. The motor blew unexpectedly and I didn't have the funds for the rebuild until recently.

Boxters are reliable so far as I know.

That being said take everything you've done for the FD and double it or more

FD's aren't cheap. Porsches REALLY aren't cheap

it's not even a turbo, you're going to hate it.
