I have seen those ******* steel roll bars mangled from rolls like yours.

My brothers friend did the same thing and her jeep was totalled, the fiberglass hard top was shattered.

Why? they provide more protection than a soft top.

Then again she rolled her jeep not tipped it over on it's side, big difference.

dave- if i happen to roll it or throw it on its side, more parts to replace. soft top just tears, does not break up into pieces. soft top you can repair or replace for ALOT less than the hard top.

I cant see how that thing didnt twist, I would check all the body lines real close, check the firewall as well

I don't know if it makes a difference, but the passenger door opens and closes perfectly fine. I think that has to do with chassis flex. Firewall I have not checked yet, but that is a good idea. I also looked closer, and I have to replace the bracket that holds the passenger side mirror. Also some paint damage on the front fender, it's hard to explain where it is at though. Right where the flash to pass light is at, in the little dip.

NOT true. The hardtops offer no additional protection in an accident vs. the soft top. It even states this on the hard top when you get one

And yes, JEEP under boddies are prone to looking ugly...happens when 90% of the driving is done offroad, lol.

I have a hardtop and love it since it seals better for heat/cold and is a lot quieter... but it does nothing for protection as it will just shatter as somebody mentioned before...
