I just thought about it, CA went to an all electronic system for the smog certs. Your car is run on a treadmill and the results are sent to the DMV right then and there.



Makes it kinda hard to cheat. Also sucks as with some engines you can make them pass at idle but not at a load.

 

well the new testing is at 15 and 25mph, which is good the fd's have a hard time passing at idle, now they arent tested at idle.
