at what rpm do you make full boost of 15lbs on your singe turbo rx7?

i am asking for a friend that is about to make a serious mistake on his fc project.

also if anyone has dyno graphs handy that would be cool.

this guys car is not going to be a drag car and he's talking about getting a t66 or a 62-1 for what would basically be a street car. the lag and power below 5k rpm are going to suffer severely, right?

i am particularly interested in dyno graphs of a to4s VS a t66. (both on normal unported motors)

thanks,

-steve

Exactly, you can't say a turbo is going to be too laggy w/o saying what turbine trim, a/r, and porting....

i think you're missing the point of my post.

i see that you're a mod, but your posts here are still unrelated and less than helpful..

You have to give us some information on the turbo though. For instance, if you said a "O" trim a/r .56 exhaust side with a t-66 front...he'd probably have boost at 2000 rpms But if you said a "Q" trim a/r 1.00 exhaust side with a t-66 front on an exhaust ported motor, then expect boost to hit at about 4500 to 5000 rpms.

My t-45s doesn't spool till 5000 rpms, and it's a "street" car.

The type of engine porting is VERY IMPORTANT too !!!! , I get away with using a 1.22 a/r turbine with a 71mm turbine wheel !!!.

Well with any luck, hopefully im going to be spinning a 1. ex a/r with a mild ported exhaust and half bridge (or large street .. havent decided yet) intake port. I expect full boost around 5k ... seems like thats where most people get full boost. Looking at tuning logs and hear say.

No you are missing the point LOL. I know whats going to spool when and you still have not told me what the specs are. If you want me to tell you what will work and won't be laggy ect, then ask it and stop beating around the bush.
