[quote name='jspecracer7' date='Sep 5 2003, 07:19 PM'] The car weighed 2,831lbs with a full Touring interior, sunroof, complete Bose sound system including the "Sound Wave," and a 1/4 tank of gas.
Total Weight: 2,831lbs (50/50 F/R ratio)
LF: 746 RF: 677 Total Front: 1,423lbs
LR: 675 RR: 733 Total Rear: 1,408lbs
Taken from their website.
Now I'm not preeching to everyone to get this done. But before you argue about "V8's are too heavy" or "It'll throw the balance of the car off" please know what your talking about. I personally would rather put a 20B in the car and be done with it.

Yeah, I guess in the end it's your car & money. If you want an LS1 in it.. do it.
Personally I wouldn't, but if it makes them happy... so be it.
And sorry I made the incorrect comment about the weight dist. Didn't know.

It just doesn't sound right, seeing a fd and it sounding like a pistion engine
Still, the ingenuity and skill it took to do this is pretty neat in itself...I guaranteed you 95% of the people on this forum wouldn't be able to pull it off.

if you don't mind the sound of an american V-8, then
the LS6 (corvette Z06 engine) is the way to go. then
bore & stroke it to 427cid and you have a fairly lightweight
500+hp mill. the LS1 is a 300+hp motor stock *yawn*.
The only plus side I can see is having the hp reliability without
a turbo. But the torque curve is flatter (higher on low end,
not as high on top end), so no turbocharged rush of
adrenalin then, either.

Each to his own.. and besides the more rx7's there are that get raped and customuzed, the better and more valuable a stock one will be.. Sucks for people like me though since this means that we will have to pay more if we ever buy one..
