You have a good point. Everyone is trying to design cars that look like they belong in an 80's futuristic sci-fi movie.

i think the rx-8 looks rather happy.
however i think that mazda should make it look more like a porsche 944 kinda like the way the 2nd gens look
also i read (road & track i think) that if the rx-8 does well then mazda will give the go ahead for the 4 generation rx-7 and a rotary miata

while were on the ugly car thing dont forget the chevy avalanche and its caddilac counter part, i forget what its called, but its equally ugly and sports a pie plate sized caddy logo. people have been shot for thinking up things far less offensive.
