well I disagree as the pro street rotary class is any rotary powered vehicle (engine spec) no matter what displacement, whether its a 10a or 26t, in Australia they are all in the same category, plus the series 6 still runs factory dash, and working windows, we also have an r100 that runs 8.1's which is a 13b, its hard to put them all under the same "sub-heading" but as far as rotaries go, I think the car with the time (within reason), is the one to beat....
That's the problem, a separation of engine displacement is not avaiable, there is no way every group of engine(2,4,6,8 cil. 2 and 3 rotor) should be in the same class. But we don't need a separation of (class) to know that a well built and well tuned 3 rotor engine makes more power then your 2 rotor engine. In my opinion you have to realize that when you put a 10A,12A,13B,20B in the same class and claime the 20B is fastest that is only expected. Ok what if I tell you that Siguel Racing from P.R. ran 7.3 with his 20B what are you going to say? the first thing your going to say is "that FD is a full chassis car" well know you start to see what I'M talking about.. I forgot to mention last time, P.R. has a total "Pro Street" first generation Rx7 running 8.15 and weight is 2300lbs on a 2 rotor engine.. Anthony Rodriques from your country knows exactly the car Im talking about...

The fact that we have a 2 rotor and a 3 rotor in the same class has simply amazed me. Yes we need to separate the 2 rotors and the 3, put your 2 rotor vs 4 cil. in one class and your 3 rotor vs 6 cil. in another class is just that simple. But the problem doesn't only exist in Australia, here in the USA we have the NHRA running 2 rotor's 3 rotor's 4 cil. 6 cil. 8 cil ALL in the same class(Pro Import) that is the craziest thing NHRA has ever done. I have writting so many letters of dissaproval to the NHRA. Abel(Flaco) Ibarra has had a meeting with them about this separation of class, and they wont budge "yet" but soon they will. When NHRA starts to realize the sponsors are not making any money, is only a matter of time until they start to listen. Now we have a couple of different import drag racing sanctioning body's one is IDRC and NOPI, Nopi has divided the 2 rotor vs 4 cil and your 3 rotor vs 6 cil. this is the begining of some organized import drag racing, because up to this point we have a dissaster as far as what is a fair class for every type of engine application..

I doubt the NHRA really cares what we think because in their redneck eyes all we are is a bunch of little wanna be asians who don't know what the hell we are talking about. Ito you of all people should know that imports can't be as fast as billy's pappy's brother's cousin's uncle's wife's sister's v8. Come on now

That is a nice run...however, I still give the best credit to Abel Abarra and his TOYO tires sponsored 3rd gen...I mean...he's running like 7.8s and such...I believe he has switched over to a 3 rotor himself and is looking to be the first to brakethrough 200MPH...Sigel Racing's 20B rx7 is also another good rotary..I believe he ran a 7.3 or 7.4 once....
I saw Abel run a 7.48 @ 176 at Englishtown with the 2 rotor in. I wonder if he's gone faster since... That was about the best race I've ever seen. It was actually USA vs. PR and rotary vs. piston. I can't remember the name of the piston car, I just know it was a Toyota and ran in the low 8's. As for the 200mph barrier, I don't know how a rotary or 4 banger is going to do it in the 1/4. I mean, the cars are so light as is, they practically take flight.
