Just thought I would show you guys the specs of the current fastest pro-street rotary in the world.
And best of all, it is an Aussie car (just to stir you U.S boys... :tounge: :sigh: ) Mazfix Series 6 20b Runs no intercooler too! |
I disagree, I would say the fastest 3 rotor pro street in the world. Remember a 3 rotor is much larger in engine displacement in comparising to your 2 rotor. Somewhere in a little island they had a real nice Pro Street Rx3 I mean "Pro Street" and a ran a best E.T. of 8.20 @166mph on a 2 rotor engine no nitrous, the one day they used nitrous, sad to say they had a bad accident and totaled the Rx3. I think when you start to say "fastest Pro Street in the world" you have to remember there is a (class )difference for everycar.

That RX-3 is in Turbo magazine May issue. Real budget car too, STREET PORTED, homemade mechanical fuel injection, no intercooler, no electronic engine management system.

ACk, here I thought you were talking about the other one. I knew it ran a 8.4 too, but thought maybe he had run it faster since then. I stand corrected Judge! Since youre on- if I take my pre-cat pipe off today using my friends lift, would it be ok to run the car IF I HAVE TO to move it off the lift without the pipe in place while Im getting a catalytic converter welded on???

Thanks for the info, just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to burn something up or some ****

well I disagree as the pro street rotary class is any rotary powered vehicle (engine spec) no matter what displacement, whether its a 10a or 26t, in Australia they are all in the same category, plus the series 6 still runs factory dash, and working windows, we also have an r100 that runs 8.1's which is a 13b, its hard to put them all under the same "sub-heading" but as far as rotaries go, I think the car with the time (within reason), is the one to beat....
|
That is a nice run...however, I still give the best credit to Abel Abarra and his TOYO tires sponsored 3rd gen...I mean...he's running like 7.8s and such...I believe he has switched over to a 3 rotor himself and is looking to be the first to brakethrough 200MPH...Sigel Racing's 20B rx7 is also another good rotary..I believe he ran a 7.3 or 7.4 once....

Oh yea...I was looking at some of Mazfix's performance parts...their turbo accessories, like the boost controllers and the BOVs look a LOT like the Australian company TurboXS...any reason on that? Are they the same company w/ a different name for US and Australian markets?
