I'm thinking of possiblly buying a fd with the intent of having the motor rebuilt. Could you guys give me some ballpark figures on approximatly how much a stock rebuild and install will cost? Im located in south jersey.

I've asked many FD owners the same question and $5k seems logical. Although I've seen engines priced at $3-4k with ports and seals, this requires the core, and I haven't shopped around TOO much.

Seems to me $5-7k is a safer ballpark, being If I rebuild I will probably do the work myself, I can lower that ballpark figure.

This is all assuming you are keeping/getting stock turbo's/engine Besides ported/seals etc. Meaning nothing Crazy-Go-Nuts-University stuff..
