Howdy,

I've tried to contact Pineapple direct with this question, but I have yet to get a reply. I need one soon as I am contemplating getting the '90 GXL I found with a locked motor.

So, if anyone knows a ball park price for a OEM-type rebuild from Pinapple (or others?) for this '90 I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Erik

ps- I know that the price depends on final evaluation of the engine, but I just need an idea before I buy.

1990 Non Turbo (N/A) Rebuild from www.fc3s.org would run $1700. That includes new everything internally. You would have used rotors, used housings (aluminum and iron housings) and a used e-shaft. It comes with a full gasket set to install the engine when you get it. It also comes with a 6 month warranty and we offer alot of other services like oil pressure modifications, oil bypass pellet included with every motor, cryo treatment of internal parts and housings to extend the life of the metal seals 30%-50% longer. We also can get any other parts for the motors new as well for a very good price compared to all of the other motor vendors out there. Feel free to email me with any questions at admin@fc3s.org

Thanks, found the prices...duh!

Ok, anyone know what kind of hp gains come with those various porting options? I guess they are wise not to quote any on the website.

I had intended to go with a stock rebuild so I can race Autocross Stock or Street Prepared class. But it is really tempting to go for the power bump. Will this land me in class I will get romped in (Mod or Prepared)?

Thx,

Newbie Erik
