Well, get this...I have a '97 hyundai accent as a daily driver right while the rex is down...so I went to a buddy's place where one of his friends was working on his '01 Accent...they were tuning it and trying to mod(dont ask) it....so they were up and down his road all day...well when I got there..the kid asked me if I wanted to race ya know..to see if all the work he'd done had payed off, I said sure why not...I don't endorse street racing, but I am an active participant...so we got another friend to be the flagger right...and well we took off, he KILLED me..his was a 5spd w/ DOHC...mine is an auto w/ SOHC..but anyways...on the way back, what did we smell? BACON!!! The damn cops were called out on us because of all the car comotion going on that day...so basically I tried to lie my way out of the whole thing, but the other kid was 16 and freaked...and told the whole thing right out...he pist me off..we could have been scotch free...but nooooo...so now I was hit w/ a drag racing ticket and have court on april 24...I am going to lose my license for 6 months most likely...damnit!!ldfjasdljfdljaflsdkfjdslkfj ******* pigs...just needed to vent...and yes, i know its my fault..blah blah..dont rag on me...

Shitty! :frown: Just tell the court that you were following them in case their car fucked up. A while back (in my GTU) I was doing dounuts and J turns and what not on the beach, got ticketed for negligent driving. Went to court, lied my *** off, and got my ticket dropped. I suggest you do the same.

Yeah, lying works well. If you lose your license though, don't fret. I drove for over a year, daily w/ no license. Just obey the traffic laws and you won't get pulled over.

if there was one thing I learned about cops is that you NEVER tell them the truth, if you do they will only hit you harder

I KNOW man...see I tried to lie...I know all about the laws and how street racing stuff goes down, I've been in the scene now for 2 years and have many friends go through w/ this...I will try to lie in court...but the other kid has the same trial date and time as I do and he's ******* ***** and will tell the truth flat out..not to mention the cops who gave me the ticket will be there...and the court will believe a cop over a youth any day! And yes, a kid did just get killed here last week street racing...but hey...its how the cookie crumbles man..we all gotta get busted sometime. Here in Va the court can reposses your car and destroy it if your caught racing...I hope I can find a way out of it, and if I don't..oh well...I'm still gonna drive...my dad drove for a year w/no license....

I hate cops!!! oh well..maybe I can talk some sense into the other kid and get him to lie...but I doubt it...

oh what was worse is that I had 3 knives(2 illegal) in my car..one of which was a switch blade...not good. Also, the cop never asked for my registration...aren't they supposed to do that?

Let me see if IM understanding all this, your losing your license for racing a Hyundai Accent? I got pulled over many years ago in my friends MOMS subaru ( he was a bit intoxicated), it was a basic model, I forget what the hell they call it, a few years old at the time, cop said I was doing 80, I simply said "officer, look at this car, there is no way IT CAN do 80, and besides its my friend heres mothers car, I wouldnt drive it like that, you do 65 in this thing and your holding on to the wheel, a red Berretta passed me, maybe HE was doing 80? I dont know if it was my comments that either shocked him or what, but he let me go no problem! But racing a Hyundai? This is why I dont even bother to race my convertible, if Im going to get in trouble, I better damm well being go fast! God I miss my big block and my ZX-11!
