Thank God its a minority so Stephen Hitler's power is somewhat limited in his agenda to finish off where Mulroney left off in selling us to the US.

He has lots of plans to cut taxes... but where is this money going to come from? He wants to put more money into policing and military... that's fine, but how do you do that with less income?

Easy. You wipe out the surplus, and when that's gone, you cut health care and education.

In the mean time, he'll be too busy destroying the rights of women and homosexuals.

It really scares me how much I think the country will be Americanized over the next few years. I feel like the Manifest destiny is upon our doorstep.

LoL

Somebody votes based solely on whatever the Liberals spout!

Liberals and Conservatives claimed very similar spending and tax cut agendas.

How would a minority government be able to change a very old abortion law or ban gay marriage, (btw, no one but the Liberals ever said anything about abortion, they claim that's what the Conservatives want to do without any evidence to support it)?

They won't do anything particularily controversial thanks to the minority, and it's an opportunity to have people in power that aren't lining their own pockets while telling the public to go **** themselves.

If the Liberals try a no confidence vote anytime soon they better have a damn good reason, people were disgusted with having to vote this time, and at least there was a good reason to pass a no confidence motion. The Conservatives are not going to give them a good reason and the Liberals would get heavily punished at the polls if they try it. Besides, I don't think they could get the support of the Bloc without a HUGE reason, anyone that voted Bloc in Quebec HATES Liberals at the moment. They would both go down in flames.

I bet that DJ that ran as an independant in Quebec City plays a major role on something or other. If the Liberals and Bloc sided together (not real likely) and the NDP and Conservatives sided together, that guy would be the deciding vote.
