I'm getting a slow old suzuki savage 750, tops out around 88mph

I have a crazy idea though, the motor is an air cooled single, one exhaust port, one carb. It has a long stroke and low compression, torquey motor but **** for hp, relines at like 8k. I want to turbo it. Any ideas?

the bike weighs 350lbs too.

can be but you have to watch where they are mounted, saving your fairing but cracking your frame is not a good trade

J
I hate to bash on the R6 more, but the frame is like tinfoil, I'd be real careful with frame sliders, I wasn't joking when I said people have replaced frames from hitting a big pothole, that is the main reason you don't see the Yami's on the track, not cause they ain't fast, caust they are, but one highside and you are taking that bitch apart, just do a search on ebay.. you won't find any R6 frames LOL

if it's your first bike - reguardless if you think you know what you're doing or think you know how to ride - start on something small. You'll regret it later.

But the R6 is very nice

As I tell everyone - I'd start on a sv650, kaw. 500/250...... EX500, GS500... etc

If you are going to start with a Kawi 250 or 500 you might as not even bother, you are going to be bored in 3 months and the resale is basically non-existant. I don't see where an Sv-650 and an R6 are all that far apart, the only difference is some weight. Yes, anything over a 600 is too big, but an R6 is a 600 it's not like he's buying too much bike.

This celebrates my 20th year of NOT-RIDING, ever since the KAW H2 Incident. But I am getting the chopper itch

Get a Valkyrie and put a 20B in it?

I'd get a bike if not for 1) all the other drivers on the road and 2) my vivid mental picture of what happens if you hit a slick spot or some gravel while turning.

This advice comes from total experience of having two acquaintances who ride...

Yeah I want a bike, but I begin to think that Los Angeles and all the stupid drivers is not the ideal place to have one even if you are the best rider, you can't control the stupidity of others.

I've been riding for like 3 1/2 years, I think. Up until last October when I got the 7, the motorcycle was my only transportation. I still ride to work and such quite often (it's more reliable than the 7!).
