Hey guys. I am looking to get a crotch rocket in a few months. I have wanted one for a while and know that i want a Yamaha R6. My question is this, knowing i will have to take out a loan of about 10 grand (keep in mind i will need a new helmet and stuff), what suggestions do u have as to loan type, what i should buy with it (not mods im going to kill myself as it is), etc?

Take out an extra loan so you can afford some spare frames, you'll need them when you hit potholes... YAMI LOL



Naw I like the R6, they just have some frame issues, I have paid cash for all my bikes, so can't help you with loans. Try selling your sole.

I have an 18 year old friend who just bought an R1 with the money he won in a lawsuit. The guy has tipped the bike so many times already. The R6 is a mighty fine bike. But your a dead man walking....

I wouldn't go that far, the R6 certainly isn't "too much bike" for starting out and it will take you sometime to outgrow it, I was on my 600 for something like 3 years before I found myself wanting more.

i grew out of the 600 after the first week



the bike is only as good as the rider.



if you get one just remenber to trust your bike.

your one of few people that say that and the gixxer 600 is unfortunately WAY below the 750 and the 1000. I love my 750, will prolly never have anything other then a gixxer because I have been so happy and certainly won't have anything without FI LOL



My next pruchase will prolly be the Hyabusa for long trips and what not.
