yes and then you can spend another 16k, putting a clutch, brakes, tires, transmission, rear end, both vano's valves, the nav system, most of the ps system into it, and then STILL not be able to clearly hear the grinding of the a/c compressor over the doors rattling.
the 2001-2004? M5 is THE WORST quality car ive ever seen, and i used to work at a kia dealership.

no ****, but a car that has tht light come on when there is 2100 miles on it makes me worry..not to mention...even retarding timing...its not gonna take away 50 hp...the car is a dog..and it wasn't meant to go fast in a straight line, but they fucked up when they didn't give it enough power..and the aftermarket isn't help either. They also have been talking about the mazdaspeed version for 2-3 years now and last I head it was going to be just suspension and body work.

The car is a dog compared to what? Yeah, it's a little slower than a Pagani Zonda, but the 8 can definetly hold its own in its category. If the CEL was on at 2100 miles, there was either something terribly wrong with the car, or terribly wrong with the owner. Either way, it's certainly not a common theme in my experience.

well..its definatly a dog compared to my SS and I consider my car slow...and for a weight savings of what..maybe 300lbs? I bet my car could take it in the handlng department too. I think its just over priced for what you get...its a balanced car, but for the price...you could get a evo rs for a lil more and have a way more balanced car, better handling and acceleration.
or you could get a srt and do a lil suspenion work and have a faster car and jsut as good handling one...for less.

the rx8 with 2 people in it is just as fast as a factory 5 cobra, between turn 11 and turn 1 at sears point. the cobra weighs 2450lbs with driver, and make around 250hp....
