12K huh. I was actually looking at the SR20 swap just for ***** and giggles and also because I thought maybe I could find a cheaper engine than the 13B but nope! There are no powerful engines as cheap as a 13B Just rebuild it

I was just talking to Chris about this. I didn't even know it was him who did it He said it was quite a bit of work but he really likes it. He is trying to sell the car because he just got a 350Z for some serious drifting action Anyway, about the car, he said the toughest part was the custom oil pan so it would miss the subframe. He also routed the exhaust from the drivers side across the d-shaft to the passenger side.
I bet it is a pretty sweet conversion if you really feel like it If someone threw a good SR20 at me, or for that matter any cool turbo motor, I would try to shoehorn it in
Vosko - Yah, I know they can be reliable I was just looking for a cheaper engine but they don't exist I kind of like the sandwich design too

so......what can i do with my 13b to make some good power reliably?
Ok, let me say this first...the car has been sitting WITHOUT being cranked for over a year.
its a silver FC with the gold BBS wheels, i think they came on it..no idea.
I do boosted honda...but, i RARELY see anything rotary. So, yeah...not so sure what all can be done.
I mean, i guess i could just toss an FD engine in there, right?

the easiest way would be convert to T2 drivetrain the whole shebang. then run low boost 10PSI or lower and it will be extremely reliable. my friends TII with full exhaust and intake ran 14.3 with a bad driver.... not bad at all for stock everything else

$2K for an FD engine, ecu, and harness.. doesn't sound bad to me. Damn, that Chris guy did the swap to a black TII.. that should be illegal.
