You could fit 275s... but I say 265s instead of 255 (which I have on my 17s).
Also do some research on tire compounds. That would make quite a difference on how your car handles and such. Tire sizing is just one way but compound of the tires will make the night and day difference.
I was looking at getting nitto 555's in the rear, and from what i hear its pretty soft and good for the street and track use... and thats really what im looking for...

265 rears on a RX would be sweet. I ran those on my BMW Alpina B-10.
Hmm i have to agree, I will take a look at Nitto and toyo and BFG to see what size's they offer in performance tires or even drag radials if I can get a good enough deal. I just dont want much traction issues on the street and allow it to handle well in higher MPH's..

Ive been happy with Toyo T1-S. I've tried Nitto before (not for my FD) and wasn't too happy with. I also run contisport 2s and they are ok for all around. My suggestion, get a set for drag (stockers with drag radials) and 17s for street.

just get a set of ET street slicks mounted on the stockers and have a nice set of high performance tires on the 17's and if i go racing bolt on the stockers and visa versa? see that sounds nice but at the same i like the feeling of just driving to the strip running great times and hooking up and driving it home to work or whatever with no problems, thats why I posted this cause I was looking at the 275/40r17 bfg drag radials that a way i can have a good street tire and a good tire fo the strip all in one package.. but then again i dont know much about drag radials also so meh...
