I have an 86' RX7, base model with the 14" phone dial wheels. Now I'm gonna put on some 17's this summer and am no sure what tire size I should go with. Can I go 215/45R17 without it rubbing? I might be lowering the car in the future and don't want it to rub.

Yeah 215/45/17 will fit no problem..On my 84 Im going 215/40/16 for street driving......and some sort of 15 drag slicks for the track.....as a matter of fact you can probally go wider....depends on offset on rims.....

call your local /custom rim shop[ and they should know the conversions on tires size......theres some sort of chart they go by...if you still need help e mail me .I can find out for you or just post back here..I can call tomorrow morning ..and post it...
