Gee christ I'm getting sick of blowing engine's. This is the 3rd one I've blown this year and the 4th overall. Can't figure out why this one blew up. A/F's were 11.3 to 10.8 Water injection was working. Car was washed. Tranny Fluid/Diff fluid was just changed. Radiator was just flushed. Oil has less than 1000 km. Interior wasn't vacuumed....and I just passed our emissions inspection today.

I was planning on pulling my engine to fix my oil leak aka Exxon Valdez....guess I'll be doing it sooner than I thought...****....I blew my engine.

It can't be the motors...it HAS to be my tuner

Your A/F ratios where on the safe side. If you broke an apex seal I will point you towards your ignition timing. Sounds like you might have a little bit of to much advanced timing. What did your engine break? Make sure you go in with a 2 cycle timing light and check your timing at idle, trailing idles at 20 degrees After Tod Dead Center and leading at 5 degrees ATDC. gives us more info. Maybe we could help a little.

Tuning is very basic. All you need is safe A/F ratios and a safe timing map. I have found that on some cars while the laptop was reading for example; -20 for trail and -5 for leading at Idle, the actual real time ignition timing was way of and working on a more advance timing. When this happens, your timing is way off. I always advice to go in and check actual real time ignition timing with a proper timing light.

I blew the engine last night and will be pulling it apart this weekend to see what the damage is.

My timing is set at 16 degrees leading under boost(1.05 kilos)
