Thanks Pete. That was very informative and i think your kinda cute. Now I know why an electronic boost controller is better than a manual . I should go find the best deal I can on a good one in this free country of ours. It's called Capitalism, and I like to watch queer eye for the straight guy.

I think everyone here seems to be pissing in the same pot. In the summer time it will not over boost. In the winter time it WILL OVERBOOST. I dont care what boost controller you have the 99 twins flow more than the other sets. Anyhow the wastegates are small on BOTH units to begin with. Food for thought

Lag is a turbo related issue and not caused by the controller opening the wastegate once a preset boost level is achieved.
I've always thought of turbo lag being the time it takes to acquire boost levels that produce results...who cares about spooling 1psi when you are trying to hit 15psi???
