Also, did you swap the PC and WG solenoid plugs when you switch the PMS to single instead of twin?

For some reason the WG signal gets sent thru the PC when in single turbo mode.

I meant to say all the way down...Yes I switched the solonoids. I think my hi-flow cat is burned up man and I don't have any back pressure which is why I'm overboosting no matter what I try. I'm considering putting the stock main cat back in and pulling my hi-flow cat out for track days only. I bet I'll have no problem with the main cat in...

post ***** on the turbo lag issue...

what if you had a BOV that didn't open until 18in-hg, and a wastegate that didn't open until the latest possible second (ball&spring)...that'd decrease the lag, don't you think?

no leakage from the BOV in vaccum and no leakage from the wg in boost until max boost is just about achieved.

Lag is the time it takes the turbine to spool.

The boost controller doesnt even come into play until after that spooling has occoured.

Lag is a turbo related issue and not caused by the controller opening the wastegate once a preset boost level is achieved.

How bad of a spike are we talking here? If its not horrible and lengthy, I don't see why that pfs ecu can't handle the extra fuel load required.

I'm not willing to test to see how long it will spike...but, we are talking close to 15lbs. With the air as cold and dense as it is this time of year I really don't want to risk it.

Wassabi Rikki! Where you been? Yeah...now I know it overboosts...that cat is probably coming my way but I'm reluctant to put it on because of the HP hit...

Rikki trying to sell you a high flow?

Anyway the boost controller will cure over boostin as well.

Watch out Ryan, George might try to talk your price down on that cat..

just get an electronic boost controller. The controller really does have an effect on the turbo's spool. Not the lag, rather its the response. An electronic boost controller has a stepper motor that will gradually let pressure build and be expended. A manual valve type does not let this type of response happen, but ultimately still does the same thing.

Is the wastegate ported on your 99specs? I would imagine its a bigger w/g port either way. Don't think you'll have much more problems after a BC.
